Poor - 1.5 out of 5

Definitely would not come back.

Disliked: The property was advertised as having a great, individually cooked breakfast. The day before we arrived we were told it wasn’t going to be that. At the inn there was a note saying the breakfast would be ‘House made pastries and yogurt’. In fact it was grocery store donuts and Danish’. I also called because there was a wildfire nearby, and they never returned my call. The porch was poorly maintain.

If I had it to...

Liked: The place advertised marvelous hot breakfast. When we got there asked what time breakfast was served and was told ‘the owner discontinued it several months ago due to cost. All we have is a plate of cookies at 7:30, but there are breakfast places 2 mins away.’ I’m a runner and can tell you those places were 20 mins walk away down a steep hill and another 20 plus back, a 2 hour waste of our trip. Was also told they’d have coffee at 7:30. Went down and at 740 called only to find out ‘730 is when the coffee person walks in the door…not when the coffee was ready. Disgusted we got in the car and drove to a place in town. I told Michael this place is using false advertising. He was nice and gave me one of our 3 nights at half off. The thing is I’d rather have had the hot breakfast, as advertised.
Disliked: Provide the breakfast as advertised …and the steep hill so far from the Main Street.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Really disappointing, to the point...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Poor property maintenance, filthy kitchen, unprofessional staff, misrepresentation of room amenities: the room was advertised as a king plus twin bed-the twin turned out to be a roll-away and there was not enough space in the room to use it!

Disappointing stay in a great...

Liked: The location, the size of the room and how clean and tidy it was.
Disliked: This room was a real letdown. It was crammed with stuff that didn't work or couldn't be used – a broken stove, a TV, and a coffee maker and kettle with nowhere to plug them in. The Wi-Fi extender they gave us actually made the internet worse, so we had to unplug it to get a weak signal from downstairs. And the blackout blind on the door (right in front of the bed) was too small, so the hallway light shone into the room all night. The bathroom was badly designed too; one switch turned on both the light and a loud fan, so anyone using it would wake everyone else up. We also paid extra for breakfast based on good reviews, but right before we arrived, they told us it was canceled and we (and everyone present) would just get free coffee and a few muffins in the morning. Plus, the hot tub was closed because of some permit issue.

Disappointing

Liked: Meager continental breakfast.
Disliked: Microwave didn’t work. Adjoining managers quarters sent food odors into our room late at night.

Staff was kind and nice...

Liked: Avocado toast on the second night was tasty and hot tub was great.
Disliked: I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this time I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the quality of service. The breakfast was simple, but far from impressive, and it took 50 minutes for our food (omelets, avocado toast, and regular toast) to be served after ordering—this happened on both mornings of our stay.We paid $250 per night, yet the rooms were disappointing: small, dark, and unclean unlike the pictures. For example, a used cotton swab from a previous guest was left on the bathroom floor when we checked in. The bed covers had stains, and one of the bathrobes had a hole. The comforter was thin, making it uncomfortably cold at night. The room also seemed in need of renovation, with visible cracks and curtains that didn’t fit properly. Considering the amount we paid, my expectations may have been high, but I don’t think basic cleanliness and comfort are too much to ask for. I am sorry that I am leaving this review but this is my honest review.
