Exceptional
Liked: We liked the creative use of space, the room was very comfortable. And the message was very good. My wife and I will definitely be getting another message from the mesuse.
Disliked: The room was very cold when we arrived, but it warmed up quickly.

It was just OK.
Liked: Breakfast good. Staff very good.
Disliked: Bathroom down the hall. The place needs maintenance. Location outside of town - a mile walk.

Superb
Liked: We checked in late, but instructions how to get to our room were clear and sent to us without asking. The house has a lot of character (in a positive way) and the breakfast was amazing. Staff was very nice and helpful.

A bad experience, room not...
Liked: Breakfast was really good.
Disliked: The 'Gorge' room is simply unfit for purpose.*It is sold as having a private bathroom.. IT DOES NOT. It has a bathroom for exclusive use but it's not attached and across the very public breakfast room! To sell that as.having a private bathroom is questionable*the room is a converted front room and unsuitable as a guest bedroom. It is at the front of the building separated from the street and the porch by thin, single glass windows that don't block any noise. In my case in the evening I was kept awake by guests talking (not even that loudly) on the porch and at 7 am awoken by loud roadworks.*the roadworks.. while not something you can influence, it surely must have been announced to the neighbourhood beforehand. Yet you chose not to inform guests to allow them to make another decision for their stay. I was looking forward to a comfortable B&B stay but was sadly disappointed. The remaining points are solely for the good breakfast.

Extremely disappointing!
Liked: We did not stay for breakfast. Good location.
Disliked: Facility was not to up to par. Peeling paint on front steps, hardwood floor in room was very worn and bare. We never saw the owner/manager. All communication was via text. No welcome, tips on the area, opportunity to visit with other guests. The living room was set up for breakfast, so no place to sit/relax. No mention of stairs on the website. The shower was a fiberglass insert and very small. Furnishings were not up to the quality one would expect for this level of accommodation. Overall, greatly over priced for the value provided.

Not worth the money they...
Liked: I liked the location, that would be about it. The Manager and some of the staff were helpful and courteous.
Disliked: The pictures online are deceiving, as the rooms are much smaller and beds are very uncomfortable, not at all suitable for a family 4 and we had to pay extra for our children. The shower/tub was so small that I could see over the top of the shower curtain and I am 5'4", the bathroom is very outdated. The kitchen service was the slowest and worst I have ever seen, the owner was high as a kite almost every time I saw him and he was the chef for 2 out of the 3 mornings we were there.
