The Spotlight on Inn at Portland

Affordable Comfort Near Portland's Music Scene

Modern convenience meets no-fuss comfort at the Inn at Portland, a laid-back hotel set on 5 quiet acres just a short drive from downtown Portland. Located only 10 minutes from the airport and minutes from the city’s vibrant waterfront and cultural spots, it’s a smart base for music fans looking to catch a show without breaking the bank.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you’re heading to a show in Portland, the location is ideal. You’re about 10 minutes from most major music venues and less than 15 minutes from the downtown nightlife. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a peaceful atmosphere, making it great for decompressing post-show. With a flexible 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out, it fits most concert schedules comfortably. Plus, its proximity to the Portland Transportation Center (less than 3 miles away) makes it easy to get around without a car.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for a simple, budget-friendly place to crash
Solo travelers in town for that one unforgettable show
Couples enjoying a low-key weekend with live music
Fans who want a quieter space to recharge after a loud night
Budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location and value

Food and Drink Options

While the Inn at Portland doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, it’s a short drive (or rideshare) to local diners, pubs, and late-night bites downtown. Several casual eateries and coffee spots are nearby, and you can grab breakfast after sleeping in a bit post-concert. It’s not fancy, but it’s functional for grabbing a quick bite before or after the show.

Nightlife Options

The hotel itself is quiet, but you’re never far from the action. A short drive takes you into the heart of Portland’s bar and live music scene, with everything from intimate lounges to bustling clubs. Whether you’re looking for craft cocktails or a place to keep the music going, you’ll have plenty of options nearby.

What People Say

Guests love the affordable rates, easy parking, and the clean, spacious rooms. Reviewers often mention that it’s a solid value for travelers who just need a comfortable place to sleep after a concert or night out. The staff is noted as helpful, and the Wi-Fi gets good marks from those needing to check in with friends or post that encore video.

Areas for Improvement

It’s not the most modern or stylish property, and some furnishings may feel dated. There’s no on-site bar or restaurant, and you’ll need to drive or catch a ride for meals or nightlife. That said, for the price and location, most guests agree it delivers on the essentials.

The Bottom Line

The Inn at Portland is a low-key, budget-friendly place to stay for concert-goers who want a quiet night’s rest and easy access to shows without the downtown price tag.

Disliked: Wow, I cannot even believe this was called a hotel! I'm really not that picky but this place was so disgusting we couldn't even stay there. Words can't even describe how gross this place was. I have no idea how it is still in business.

Think twice about booking here…

Disliked: No warning that they were under renovation and not offering any amenities. Not very friendly either when checking in. Stay elsewhere if you can…

Liked: Location
Disliked: Some areas under renovation- we had to walk through areas with equipment and old carpet etc. to get to our room. Large property. The room was comfortable. Updated.

Don't stay here!

Liked: I don't think they had bedbugs.
Disliked: The ho and tell was in a sketchy area with poor lighting. I booked in advance. The heat was off and the windows were frosted from being so cold in the room. The fridge was off. There was a nauseating smell that permeated the halls and room. The shower was dirty and the lights were all dim from having so many dead bugs in them. The curtains wouldn't close all the way. We heard the plumbing when anyone flushed their toliet. So thankful that it was only one sleepless night. They also said to leave the key card in the room because they don't have morning staff. 😳 They apparently don't have house keepers either. So disappointing!

Liked: Breakfast was fine. Rooms were spacious. We were grateful to get the last two rooms available over a holiday weekend at the very last minute. Our original reservation was cancelled out from under us due to a power outage.
Disliked: There was a strong smell of mildew even though the room was clean.
