Will probably not stay there...

Liked: Location is very good. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The room we were initially given was dirty and the bathroom had not been cleaned. The staff was very accommodating and apologetic and arranged for another room - which was better, but still not what we would have expected from this place. For example, there was only one partial roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, and no additional roll available. If that’s how they save money, it’s very off-putting. Housekeeping staff does not do their job.The restaurant is way below par. This is an area (Moro Bay) with fantastic local seafood, yet the restaurant only had frozen non-local fare. Very disappointing! Waite staff was good, but food very mediocre.The place has a lot of potential, but needs a good make-over.

Disliked: Sadly a short staff (only one person attending) at Breakfast time at the Rest.

Liked: Room was quaint and clean. Heater was in a bad place, made for uncomfortable sleep.

Liked: Very nice location, within the state park. Also close to the Embarcadero. Clean and secluded place, with good views and service.

Quick stay on route to...

Liked: Stayed here for a second time after a stay in 2022. Location is great and we had a ground floor room viewing the sea. Bedding was clean and fresh however it seemed that the actual room hadn’t been aired/cleaned for a while. Floor was dirty with sand etc. spiders webs in corners. As I say, bedding was clearly clean and changed on the day but maybe the room was cleaned days or so before. We arrived at 1915hrs with the understanding that kitchen closes at 2000hrs so we rushed straight in to the restaurant. The waitress seemed a little disappointed that we had turned up (we were the only ones in there), and maybe normally they get off quickly at 8pm? We ordered quickly for this reason as we felt bad that we were in there late. In hindsight, we were 45 minutes before kitchen closes so I dont think we should have felt bad. My wife and mother had chicken burgers. Mothers was ok but wife’s was like rubber like the chicken had been cooked before and kept back to use rather than a fresh cook. I maybe wrong and it was potentially juts over cooked. Beers were nice however and bartender was friendly. Food overpriced for what you get however I do understand you are paying more for the view over the bay as opposed to the actual food.
