Well thought out, zen like...
Liked: It?s a lovely zen like retreat - gardens, candela, fountains. Serene and conscious getaway. Close enough to walk or bike to beach, restaurants and shopping.
Disliked: Drawback is that it is close to Amtrak rails and trains are loud late night. And instructions for the TV would have been super helpful.

A zen relaxing beach vibe...
Liked: The food was delicious and healthy and good portions for a froup size, loved the chocolates and dried fruit plate.. tea was amazing! Staff worked as well as possible with covid limitations providing things we needed like extra towels. The grounds were beautiful, the styling and layout of the room was great
Disliked: our room didn't have an ocean view and we changed rooms at last minute due to other guests being on bottom floor but garden view was very pretty

Disliked: Zero insulation. Noise fron upstairs units was unbearable. Thumping, creaking and rattling noises all day long. Rooms facing the driveway/ street. Right next to the train tracks. Unpleasant staff. There was an issue with the key upon arrival. The lock was malfunctioning and they kind of brushed it off. Not the best first impression. (Note: they ended up ordering a locksmith, but he only showed up after two days.) The kitchenette? area (microwave, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, sink) is poorly designed and executed. It?s very common that boutique hotels care more about appearances and ?concepts? than functionality and comfort. This place is a prime example of that. You couldn?t wash the dishes (or even just the reusable coffee filter) because of the placement of the faucet (not a kitchen faucet to begin with). Impossible to clean the sink, as well. Only two outlets in the kitchen area and multiple appliances, so you had to plug and unplug things all the time. They could have just used a multi outlet adaptor ? you can get them for cheap on Amazon. One of the mugs was dirty when I arrived. No cutting board m. No cutting knife to speak of. Poor parking. Toilet wasn?t flushing well (you had to flush multiple times). No hangers for trousers. Trash bin was placed under a desk and the lid wouldn?t open all the way, so you had to pull it out every time you wanted to throw something away. I just think this place needs a professional to come in and give them some feedback on the guest experience and tips for improvement. The style is nice and I appreciate the concept, but ultimately comfort and customer service matter more. This place just misses the mark. Would not come back.

Liked: Rooms our kids stayed in , were nice. They looked like pictures in the advertising.
Disliked: Our room was a big disappointment! Closed in bedroom with no TV, no extra blankets, no view! Very expensive and ordinary! Not what we hoped for.
