Ingliston Country Club Hotel

We really enjoyed the function...

Liked: The function suites are beautiful . The reception staff were very friendly. The breakfast staff were helpful. Staff in all, were a credit.
Disliked: The hotel rooms are quite basic for the price . We only had one hand towel. The lamps were dusty. We had to ask for more milk & tea. There was no bar in the hotel , as it was a wet & windy night we didn’t want to walk to the restaurant twice getting wet. Room service was an option but only one chair or sit on the bed

Lovely hotel & well kept...

Liked: Staff were friendly & helpful. Good selection at breakfast (though would benefit from covers in hot food during non-peak times), grounds & view were lovely.
Disliked: Noise through walls & ceiling in room was loud - poor insulation meant could hear a lot of conversation at what seemed like normal conversation level was audible. Feels like the spa area could be better used if not only on a pre-book system (aka available for all included unless room has booked privately).

Enjoyed our stay but not...

Liked: Junior Suite was spacious, Jacuzzi bath was very welcome. Facilities were good, Food in the resturant was excellent.
Disliked: Bulbs missing in lighting, Nail varnish marks on bath, door handles and stains in carpet. No fridge! Bathroom marble shelf not fixed down, Dangerous! Rwalplug holes in bathroom wall

A very premier inn like...

Liked: The bed was comfy and the shower was wonderful for achy muscles.
Disliked: Breakfast (specifically bacon) was over cooked, coffee machine is overly complicated. For a high class establishment the breakfast condiments were terrible, basic jam and honey in plastic pots.....not a quality I would expect for this country club. Only 1 disabled parking space by the hotel entrance which was occupied. There should be more and a clearly signposted option for drop off instead of no access!
