Cheap accommodation but dirty.

Liked: The house keeping staff were lovely.
Disliked: Arrived after-hours as travelling from Canberra. Once entering our accomodation it was noticed that the floors were quite untidy and looked like they hadn’t even been vacuumed. The fan in the bathroom had a dust build up that was more than a few weeks worth of dust. The fan in the living area had so much dust on top of it that when it was on it was falling all over the room. We had our 9 month old with us and I was horrified at the state the room was given to us in. One of the lamps in the main bedroom area had exposed wires. The main bed didn’t have locks on the wheels and I accidentally lent against it when bringing bags in and the whole bed moved quite quickly which nearly made me fall over. Day two my husband and I both had different places to be so I went to reception and asked if there was a spare key available. The lady at reception responded quite rudely and stated there was only another key with housekeeping and they wouldn’t be giving us that key. I stated that I understood however is there anyway I could leave my main key at reception or something as my husband may be arriving back to the facility before myself. The lady then stated yet again she would not be giving me the housekeeping key. I yet again said that is fine however what can I do in this instance? This was met with hesitation and clear frustration from the employee that I was even asking this question. She then stated that I could put it in the after hours lock box.

Liked: The cabin was very nice ,clean & comfy, well equipped with every need.
Disliked: The weather !! we had to forfit the first night because of very heavy rain, so a shame weonly had one night. Hope to go again.
