Beautiful riverside location with well...

Liked: Exceptional value. Room was immaculate. Coffee maker had clear instructions and beautiful mugs. There was a desk with mirrors. The notebook with lodge information was very inclusive with tv remote instructions and channel lineup as well as food recommendations including menus. There was also information on activities in the area.

Though slightly disappointed by the...

Liked: Loved the location on the banks of Indian Creek. Loved that the hotel grounds were so expansive and designed to take advantage of its proximity to the creek with the gazebo and adirondack chairs placed just up from the water to allow for leisurely naps and bird watch. Kudos to the staff for being so friendly. Lastly, the room I stayed in was super clean and nicely furnished - not in your standard corporate motel style, I might add - with a very modern full-tile shower. Not bad for very reasonably priced place to stay.
Disliked: Previously - and featured on the website - the hotel maintained a small-menu restaurant, a great convenience since it's located several miles from Weaverville. However, it recently closed and is in the process (apparently) of changing ownership. This perhaps should have been noted on the website. As a result, the hotel has attempted to bridge the gap by providing an even slimmer menu. The food was not that great. I still appreciated it since I would have had to ride back into Weaverville which entails getting back into motorcycle gear for the little trip. Maybe soon a new proprietor will be found and they can once again serve real meals.
