Part of the Leisureplex Hotel Group The Imperial Hotel in Ilfracombe is located right on the seafront just 262 feet from the beach. The hotel has free parking and its own restaurant and cocktail bar. Rooms at the Imperial Hotel have modern private bathrooms and are decorated in warm tones. Some guests will have a sea view while all will have a TV desk and tea/coffee-making facilities. The hotel's bar serves a variety of beverages and the restaurant has a daily changing menu vegetarian options are also available. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in public areas and the hotel has a sun lounge with large windows providing a view towards the sea. The Imperial is located opposite the Landmark Theater and Ilfracombe Tourist Information Center. It was OK. Attention to...

Liked: Breakfast Breakfast was good well cooked Room - Family room with sea view was large light and airy with 2 beds and good sea viewLocation was close to amenities beach town and local theatreDinner - Reasonable choice, well cooked,
Disliked: - Meals Breakfast - There were no Mushrooms available at one breakfast. Dinner I ordered a starter of Pattie with toast. No toast appeared and complaint produced a hot bread roll My wife ordered a sweet of Eaton Mess which, of course, should have included Meringue as advertised. It did not,a complaint to the waiter resulted in no explanation.My wife uses a wheelchair. There is no ramp and everyone must climb 4 steps to get into hotel. Is this legal?Room - The hotel receives 3 to 4 coachloads of guests a day and they like entertainment at night between 8.30 to 10.45every night. If you want to go to bed early DO NOT BOOK ROOM 108 or others on first floor at front of hotel as volume of amps is high and made settee vibrate. I would be surprised if paid staff could legally enter these bedrooms without hearing protection under HSE rules during the entertainment especially on Sunday night.

Liked: Great staff and location. Average age of the guests was about 75. Great to see them all having such a wonderful time. We met some great characters. Entertainment was great.
Disliked: Breakfast was ok not 'exceptional' but the service was amazing.

Surprisingly comfortable hotel in the...

Liked: This is clearly a hotel designed to cater for coach parties, but it does so very well! The location is excellent - right by the beach, and close to harbour and shops. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and comfortable. There was even good entertainment laid on in the evening. Consequently, I loved my stay!
Disliked: Wifi was good in the communal areas, but was not working in my 4th floor room.

Weekend break in ilfracoombe

Liked: Location was great, the room was lovely and clean, fresh bed linen and towels. Beds were very comfortable, we had a lovely view from the bedroom overlooking the beach. It was perfect.
Disliked: Small cubicle shower enclosure.

pleasant stay

Liked: Location good, lift great, breakfast fine
Disliked: no clear instructions on where to sit for breakfast, one couple moved twice
