ibis York Centre

Me and my best friend stayed here as we were seeing Shane Filan at the Barbican Centre. The bathroom door didn't have a lock on and I slipped when I went into the bathroom, as the floor was wet but didn't have a wet floor sign. The room had an unpleasant odour to it. The curtains were dirty and didn't match, then in the morning the window sill was soaked - water had even dripped down the wall and wet the carpet. It was freezing as there wasn't a heater in the room. The breakfast was ok but the staff didn't replenish the food enough though. It would have been a nicer atmosphere if there was music.

Liked: Short stroll from the train station and to York's old centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was new and very clean and comfortable. Check-in was simple.

Hotel Ibis Don’t give it...

Liked: This was our first stay here. Absolutely amazing now that it has been refurbished ! Rooms are lovely and clean and smell new. Plenty of space in the room and the beds was even comfortable compared to some hotels! I actually had a good nights sleep. Only downside was air con not cold enough 🥵but windows open enough to take the heat out . The breakfast was awesome and drinks available staff was polite and very helpful too.Definitely recommend and will return at some point. Just hope they keep it clean for a long time.
Disliked: Just the Air con not cold enough that’s all.
