ibis Ulm City

Passable

Always my top "go to"...

Liked: I always enjoy staying at Ibis Ulm, it is clean, safe and central.
Disliked: I am usually staying for 2 weeks at a time - for a 'long stayer' I wish I had a small fridge and a coffee station with the basics in my room. Even just a kettle. A suggestion for you to consider.

Superb

Liked: The staff was really nice and helpful with my various requests. The room was cozy and nice.
Disliked: I missed a fridge in the room. Not sure how common it is in Germany. The bed was also a bit uncomfortable - if you lean on the wall while sitting on it, it slides away from the wall

Only the great staff is...

Liked: Staff is very nice and helpful. The location is just in the center and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: The elevator was not working and we had to carry our suitcases 4 floors.There is no mini bar or a small refrigarator and there was no a katle in the room.

Liked: Everything was clean.
Disliked: The thermostat couldn't be regulated, and it was too warm inside the room.

Very bad value for money

Liked: The parking. Location easy to join with the car.
Disliked: No clima in the room, impossibile to sleep. Unacceptable in 2025. It was so hot that made my night a nightmare.Impossible to keep open window since on the road at first floor with cars and tram passing, people making a lot of noise.Quality of the room very poor. Floor, bathroom, finishing, at level of a hostel.Reception is not speaking English. Breakfast barely average.

Disliked: Air conditioning system was not working, I was not informed by the hotel

Liked: The staff were helpful when we decided to leave
Disliked: There are 0 amenities in the rooms. No safe, no frig, no washcloths, and even a nightstand was missing. They provided a black bucket for the bathroom trashcan, which was particularly weird. The decor was dated, and more like a cheap motel than a hotel. And the AC was out in the whole hotel.

Falling slowly apart

Disliked: This hotel looks like it has had its best days in the 1990's. Lots of things give a picture of gradual dilapidation. The burn down lamps are not replaced, or the light switch has broken down, and remains so. The shower door leaks and floods the tiny bathroom unless you are very careful. During our stay, the central aircon didn't function, the same in all rooms, and could not be repaired because of the weekend. The hotel is also next to a busy street, so because of the noise it was not an option to leave the window open.However, the breakfast was good. By fixing the little things and improving maintenance, this could still be an almost good hotel. Not on the nicest location but reasonably close to the centre and the railway station, the rooms on the tight side but still livable. But not now.
