Great location and value, just...

Liked: The beds were really comfy, which is always a big plus. The location was spot-on—just a short walk to Rotterdam Ahoy, which was exactly where we needed to be. It’s also close to public transport, so getting around the city was super easy. Breakfast was actually better than I expected for the price. There weren’t any boiled eggs when we arrived, but when we asked, the staff let us know they'd take about 8 minutes and then brought them right to our table about 10 minutes later—really nice service! Overall, it felt like great value for the money.
Disliked: The carpet in the corridor outside our room had some rather suspicious stains—we played a fun little game of “red wine or blood?” (or maybe blood cleverly disguised with red wine?). Either way, it didn’t exactly scream “freshly cleaned.”Speaking of cleaning, the room floor had a sticky spot, so it seems like the mop might’ve skipped a few beats recently. The cleaning staff tried to pop in at 10:30 while we were still in the room (not quite checkout time yet), but when we returned later that evening—surprise! No one had come back to clean. No fresh towels either, which was a bit of a letdown.Also, for reasons we couldn’t quite figure out, there was no toilet brush in the bathroom. So if the cleaning crew isn’t visiting daily, well… some guests might really appreciate the option to do a little self-service scrub.One more heads-up: the hotel has a big parking lot, which is great—but parking isn’t free. It’s €19.50 per day, and when we asked, we were told it’s because the parking belongs to Ahoy. That’s probably true, but it would be nice if the hotel could work out a better deal for their guests. At the very least, it’s good to know ahead of time so you can factor it into your budget when choosing where to stay.

Liked: I had an excellent stay at ibis Styles Ahoy! The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, with quirky design touches that made it feel unique. The view of the park was beautiful.The location is perfect—especially convenient if you’re attending an event at Rotterdam Ahoy or want to explore the city. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with plenty of tasty options. We also recommend dinner at the restaurant, super delicious, good price and generous portions.Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays. I’ll definitely be back.
