Very good

Liked: Good hotel for 1 or 2 nights, ideal for overnighter for cruise embarkation.
Disliked: Rather small compact room.No restaurant on site, directed to adjoining novotel - 1 hour wait for food.

Disappointed with room standard and...

Liked: Convenient location for cruise holiday.
Disliked: Found a large damp patch on the floor by the bed. When I told the reception staff they said they knew about it and had tried to dry it out. I was not impressed that they hadn’t told me in advance. They said they had no other room to offer me. Just one night so we put up with it. Also thought it expensive for this grade hotel and size of room.

Basic facilities. Stay elsewhere if...

Liked: We were able to walk from Southampton Central Station. The taxi to the cruise ship was £10, so was close to the terminal.
Disliked: Very basic facilities. We stayed one night before our cruise. Bed was hard, woke up stiff, so not a great start to our much anticipated cruise. Stay elsewhere if possible. Restaurant was closed the one night we were there, although a TGIFriday restaurant was a two minute walk away.

Disliked: Very ordinary accommodation disappointing for the expensive accommodation obviously because of cruiseship popularity so take advantage of people cruisingJust 2 bath towels no hand towels or face washers for a 2 night stay Most staff very good but senior female staff member very unfriendly No welcome greeting when we arrived late evening after a very long flight from Sydney then drive down to Hotel
