ibis Sheffield Centre

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff; round the corner from city centre.

Stayed here with my daughter for one night while attending a concert at the Motorpoint Arena. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 24/7 snack menu didnt give many choices although breakfast was an all you can eat buffet and very nice.

Liked: Suited our needs.

Very friendly and helpful staff; lovely, clean room; very close to the venue and easy to reach and find as well. I'd recommend it to anyone and go back there myself when next in Sheffield at a show.

Would be happy to stay...

Liked: The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, the self-service breakfast had a variety of tasty foods, the location in central Sheffield was within 15 minutes walking of the train and bus stations and the Crucible.
Disliked: At a constant 26 degrees Celsius the room was a little warm for sleeping. Having the window open overnight was not an option due to outside noise - particularly from people leaving the nearby pub and from the close proximity of the bridge carrying trams.A room on the other side of the corridor - ie remote from pub and tram-bridge would have negated these quibbles.

Liked: Close to the city centre although not in the nicest part of town
Disliked: The room smelt like a Parisian sewer. No air conditioning and bed very hard.
