Ok but I wouldn’t rush...
Liked: I liked the 24hour reception and the friendly staff.
Disliked: A few irritations. Seemed to be a lot of banging doors. Do the door closers need adjusting? Why were there no clothes hangers. Strange. Why is a €20 deposit needed to borrow iron/ironing board? Irritating and time wasting. Why no coffee making facilities in room?

Mattress was not comfortable. No...
Liked: Location was good. Within short walking distance from the train station. Room size was good too.
Disliked: Mattress was not comfortable. Wanted to ask staff for some place to fill up my water bottle but she ended up directing me to Novotel (accessible from within Ibis). When I was at Novotel, there was no one to help me and I had to go to the kitchen and seek help from the chef to refill my bottle of water for me.

Never again!
Liked: Location was good
Disliked: We stayed at this hotel on the night of June 2nd as part of a road trip. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional.I presented my valid Turkish passport at reception, which I always carry while traveling, even though I live in Amsterdam and have a valid residence permit. The receptionist guy began examining my passport in an unusually detailed manner, almost as if he were a border control officer. He then told me that I could not stay at the hotel because one of my *old* visas had expired. This was completely inappropriate—my passport is valid, and the status of previous visas is irrelevant to a hotel check-in. I’ve presented my valid residence permit as well, although I don’t have to because I have a valid passport, for which he took another 15 minutes to examine. While I understand that hotels are allowed to check identification documents, they are not immigration authorities and should not be scrutinizing expired visas in a valid passport. What made the situation worse was the receptionist’s rude and confrontational attitude. He seemed eager to find an issue where there wasn’t one, treating us as if we had done something wrong.Thankfully, his supervisor intervened and resolved the matter, allowing us to stay. However, the experience left a very bad impression. A basic level of respect and professionalism is expected at any hotel, and unfortunately, that was not what we received here. The poor experience continued the next morning at breakfast, where none of the staff members seemed to speak English. This is quite surprising—and frankly unacceptable—for an international hotel chain.Given the lack of professionalism, poor service, and overall treatment we received, we will never stay at an Ibis hotel again.
