Good stuff

Liked: Good on the most part. Good location. Very clean. Staff helpful.
Disliked: The breakfast needs improving for what you pay. The room was too hot as air conditioning was not working.

Disappointed with the practice of...

Liked: Fairly good location despite the roadworks outside; friendly and helpful food service in the evening
Disliked: On check in we were informed that the air conditioning in the room was not functioning with the local temperature more than 35 C. This important information was only divulged AFTER we had been asked to pay up front in full for the 3-day stay so we had no choice about finding another option. A fan was provided as an alternative.

Not a satisfying stay

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. It’s very close to the castle.
Disliked: The location is too close to a railway and sometimes there could be noisy issues. The hotel itself is too old and there are many bugs (flies, roaches etc). The AC didn’t work while the temperature was around 37 degrees.

Disappointing

Disliked: The ventilation unit was broken the entire time we booked. The accommodation was chosen precisely because it should have had air conditioning….

Disliked: The pictures advertising this hotel on Booking.com are very misleading! The room was very basic . The air con was an old system which did not operate adequately..No refreshments in room and having to go to communal area was bad enough, but the fact that the coffee and tea available there, were not drinkable. Menu had limited choice so we ordered food in and noticed on collection that there were several food orders coming in.Overpriced for what is on offer is an understatement. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in so we checked out early.

Will never stay again

Liked: Location of hotel close to town centre & train station. Secure car parking. Reception staff very friendly & helpful.
Disliked: Room was very small & dated, needs a refurb. Air conditioning was appalling, didn't lower the temperature of the room at all. Would expect to have a mini bar & tea/coffee facilities for the price we paid. Terrible value for money!
