ibis budget Newport

This is an ideal hotel, not too far from the train station with shops available within 1 mile. The reception staff is well trained and their customer service is very good. Sanitation is a top priority there and it was manifested in their positive approach to cleanliness. The room I stayed in was very nice, convenient, clean and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely return to the Ibis Hotel and will certainly recommend it to anyone traveling to Wales for an event and other occasions. Cheers !

Meh it's not the worst,...

Liked: Staff where ok, and location is good
Disliked: We payed before we got there, then to be told booking.com didn't send it to the hotel had to get it refunded so that was not the best start, for a budget hotel you get what u pay for, however they also took the decision to be opportunistic and raise prices because of oasis gig so it was not "budget" 1 spare toilet roll in the room, bathroom was tiny, no plugs near the bed, weird smell at the reception that really stuck in the throat

Disliked: Cleaner man came in the morning before check out time without even knocking on the door which was so rude.Bathroom seat was touching the ground not good for tall person

Liked: Good, clean budget hotel. Comfy beds, quite area. Easy yo find and park. The staff were lovely and made the stay. Nice, fresh continental breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great budget hotel

Liked: Clean and very comfortable. It's a budget hotel but we had a good 2 night stay before/after a concert in Cardiff.
Disliked: All good

Liked: Convenient, air con was nice, but that's it!
Disliked: Honestly? Spend just a little bit more and get something nicer, this felt like uni halls from 30 years ago.Staff were lovely and it IS budget, but 65/night isn't THAT cheap, no room in the room, toilet shower and sink all separate, dodgy people hanging about outside and in a dog rough area. Lighting kept flickering under the daydo rail too.Aside from the AC which was very appreciated and the lovely girls on reception who were super welcoming and helpful, I honestly couldn't recommend this to anyone. Sorry
