This is an ideal hotel, not too far from the train station with shops available within 1 mile. The reception staff is well trained and their customer service is very good. Sanitation is a top priority there and it was manifested in their positive approach to cleanliness. The room I stayed in was very nice, convenient, clean and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely return to the Ibis Hotel and will certainly recommend it to anyone traveling to Wales for an event and other occasions. Cheers !

I stayed alone for first...

Liked: Easy from motorway but finding bus/ train was difficult Some basic info in room/at reception could help. Staff were very helpful but didn't know for sure.
Disliked: Nothing.

I would use this hotel...

Liked: The room was clean and tidy the bed was comfortable, the room was basic be what I expected for the price so good value. The lady on reception was extremely helpful especially as I was having difficulty trying to print a document, which she was able to sort out for me. The night reception were also able to supply extra tea bags and milk for me, which was very much appreciated.
Disliked: Due to the limits on the windows opening (safety measures) the room was hot, but there was air con which sorted the problem.

Wonderful hidden gem

Liked: The beds were incredibly comfortable and it was exceptionally clean. The staff were so friendly from the minute we walked in the door and that goes for everyone we encountered. They were helpful and informative. The use of space was phenomenal, and value for money exceptional. The cleanliness is the highest point for me, not a speck of dirt or dust anywhere including the floor!
Disliked: The corridor was dated and had a musty odour which lets the cleanliness of the rest of the place down. Outside, the building looks dirty could do with a power wash. Nothing in walking distance. Website description was a little vague as there isn’t much privacy between two people in the room as there is no bathroom as such, the toilet is low and basically in a cupboard and the shower just opened into the room so if you do not know the person well you’re staying with there isn’t much privacy.

Liked: Breakfast was fine
Disliked: Receptionist was not bothered that people were heard shouting and swearing, which was frightening during the night for other guests.

Good if just looking for...

Liked: The staff was so friendly and nothing was to much trouble
Disliked: The breakfast was left on side all night uncovered eg croissants and I got charged extra due to be a festival in area that was not aware off extra charge
