Good
Liked: The hotel staff were excellent. Their warm welcome and sincere attitude made us feel very comfortable. Special thanks to Usama from the technical team, who cleaned up the broken glass and brought the necessary materials to help us. The quick response of the reception in contacting the police was also reassuring.I would also like to point out: if your car does not have a European license plate, I do not recommend parking it on the street overnight in Lyon. Our car’s window was smashed and there was an attempted theft. It’s quite possible to wake up and find your belongings stolen.Still, thank you for everything.
Disliked: We booked a triple room, but it was very small — once three people were inside, there was hardly any space to move. This made us quite uncomfortable, and under normal circumstances, I wouldn't consider staying at this hotel again. However, the kindness of the reception staff and especially the sincere support from Usama from the technical team made us feel truly at home. Their helpfulness is the main reason I would consider returning. One suggestion: the reception staff should warn guests who arrive by car about the kind of incident we experienced — it could really help prevent future problems.

Good stay overall
Liked: The room was basic as expected for Ibis budget but rather small. In fact, much smaller than previous stays at Ibis Budgets throughout France, so that we barely fitted in with our 2 suitcases and it was very difficult to move around the bed.The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They called to pre-book a taxi for us.
Disliked: I chose the hotel because the ad said it was 10 minutes walk to the train station which is what we required, HOWEVER it was not made clear that it was close to Lyon Perrache station rather than the main one, which is Lyon Part-Dieu, which was the one we needed for our retrun train to Paris. This was at least 35 minutes away by car and resulted in us incurring two hefty taxi fares; one when we returned the car on arrival to Lyon at Gare Part Dieu and also on the day of departure. I think it should be made very clear that is is NOT CLOSE to the principal train station, only a secondary one.

Nice stay between two rivers
Liked: Staff is as friendly as was 2 weeks ago.
Disliked: The room was a little bit noisy because the ventillation was running the whole night. We didn't hear that noise in another room 2 weeks ago.

Nice stay between two rivers
Liked: Big 10 for the staff! They were very friendly, helpful and speak English. We booked the room for two nights with breakfast but unfortunately missed our bus so arrived a half day later. Breakfast is there only till 10 a.m. but we could have ours before check-in. They even baked some fresh croissants for us 5 minutes before 10! The room was small but practical, had everything we needed.
Disliked: If you open the window, the room is noisy but has a good sound isolation. Actually, I cannot say anything negative. Some guests were noisy during the night but it's not the hotel's fault.

Convenient location but irritating 2-week...
Liked: Location near tram and Perrache
Disliked: 1. Beware! They take 100 euros deposit for any potential damage to the room and return it only two weeks later! Bizarre or what?2. Perhaps the breakfast waitress should pay a little more attention to her customers and less to gossiping with the cook!3. Weird 'cage' instead of bedside table, making it likely that belongings will fall through.
