Budget-Friendly Base Just a Beat Away from Leeds City Centre

Looking for a simple, no-fuss hotel that gets you close to the action without breaking the bank? The ibis budget Leeds Centre Crown Point Road ticks all the right boxes. This modern, affordable hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Leeds city centre and the buzzing Victoria Quarter, offering clean, comfortable rooms ideal for recharging after a night of live music.

Why Concert-goers love it

With the city’s top music venues within walking distance or a short cab ride away, getting to and from your gig is a breeze. The 24-hour front desk means no stress when returning late, and nearby public transport makes late-night travel straightforward. Rooms are simple yet soundproofed enough for a peaceful post-show wind-down. Plus, that 12:00pm check-out gives you extra time to recover the morning after.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking to save while staying central
- Solo travellers in town for that one unforgettable concert
- Couples turning a gig into a weekend getaway
- Fans who prefer a quiet, low-key crash pad after the encore
- Budget-conscious music lovers who'd rather spend on merch than a mini-bar

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel keeps things simple, it’s got the essentials for late-night cravings. There’s a snack bar and vending machines in the lobby, and plenty of walkable eateries nearby for post-show bites. A light buffet breakfast is served in the morning, perfect for fuelling up after a late night.

Nightlife Options

While there’s no on-site bar or live music, you’re just minutes from the city’s top nightlife. Whether you’re after a craft beer, a cocktail lounge, or a late-night dancefloor, Leeds delivers, and it’s all within easy reach. Think of this hotel as your pre- and post-party HQ.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, clean rooms, and the hotel’s great value. Many highlight the friendly staff and the ease of checking in at any hour. It's often praised as a solid choice for travellers who want a convenient, comfortable place to stay without paying premium rates.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side, and some guests mention the lack of in-room kettles or storage space. But hey, for the price and location, most agree it’s a smart trade-off. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it – but if you’re here for the music, it does the job.

The Bottom Line

The ibis budget Leeds Centre Crown Point Road is a top pick for concert-goers seeking a simple, central, and affordable stay in Leeds.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Peter S, North Yorkshire, visiting First Direct Arena Leeds

I pre booked this hotel as I was going to a concert in Leeds and at £50.00 thought it was a reasonable price. On arriving I noticed the illuminated sign outside was quoting a price of £85.00 and thought I had made the right choice in booking early. However after seeing the very small room and basic facilities I can only assume that this hotel must be making a fortune at £50 let alone £85. As there was no parking facilities I also ended up paying £14.50 to park my car so had I paid the top price I would have spent best part of £100.00 BEFORE I even paid for my concert ticket. I would have sooner gone to a Premier Inn if I had to pay the extortionate price of £85 and £35-40 would have been the top price I would have expected to pay for this room. All in all I will not be booking this hotel again, should I need to stay in Leeds and would advise other people to think twice before using this chain of hotels. Premier Inn hotels have bigger rooms and a discounted parking scheme for using the nearby car parks. I also would not use this hotel if my wife came with me as she is disabled and would have great difficulty even trying to get into the room let alone use the toilet or shower. Having said that, I obviously do NOT know if the hotel has bigger rooms for the disabled as I did not require one.

Liked: Clean and tidy.
Disliked: Small room.

Bad experience

Liked: That was nothing that I liked about it except for big numbers on the door and a talking lift because I am visually impaired
Disliked: I did not like it because there were no cups tea or coffee in the room, the night porter when I asked for him to order me a taxi where I needed to use my bank card he did not understand any English at all, there were young kids banging doors and they woke me up at 1:00 in the morning and nothing got dealt with and the shower was very small I couldn't even turn around and the roof was touching my head.

Very happy with accommodation but...

Liked: We were very happy with the comfort of the room and breakfast once we arrived and thought it all very good value. Directions to the hotel were confusing on a complicated one way road system and, once we arrived, the map we were given to the recommended car park was very poorly printed. So, finding the car park and walking back to the hotel from the car park with our luggage and very poor directions on a very hot day was hard work.
Disliked: Initial reception could have offered to take bags while we parked the car and a better map to the car park given.

Clean and comfortable stay

Liked: The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, they couldn't have been better. The Ibis has two lifts, just yards from the reception desk. On a very hot weekend the room was very cool and comfortable. My bed was very comfortable too and i didnt hear any noise at all from other guests or from outside with the window shut. The toilet and shower are compact but do the job perfectly, the shower was a nice and simple walk in one. I could leave my luggage at reception, and breakfast was a continental buffet and was nice. There are bottled drinks available to purchase, including alcoholic, and lager on tap, although no bar as such.
Disliked: Of course it's a budget hotel so no coffee tea facilities in the room, but knew thiswhen bookings so wasn't a problem.
