ibis budget Leeds Centre Crown Point Road

I pre booked this hotel as I was going to a concert in Leeds and at £50.00 thought it was a reasonable price. On arriving I noticed the illuminated sign outside was quoting a price of £85.00 and thought I had made the right choice in booking early. However after seeing the very small room and basic facilities I can only assume that this hotel must be making a fortune at £50 let alone £85. As there was no parking facilities I also ended up paying £14.50 to park my car so had I paid the top price I would have spent best part of £100.00 BEFORE I even paid for my concert ticket. I would have sooner gone to a Premier Inn if I had to pay the extortionate price of £85 and £35-40 would have been the top price I would have expected to pay for this room. All in all I will not be booking this hotel again, should I need to stay in Leeds and would advise other people to think twice before using this chain of hotels. Premier Inn hotels have bigger rooms and a discounted parking scheme for using the nearby car parks. I also would not use this hotel if my wife came with me as she is disabled and would have great difficulty even trying to get into the room let alone use the toilet or shower. Having said that, I obviously do NOT know if the hotel has bigger rooms for the disabled as I did not require one.

Disliked: Air con wasn't working, and the room was boiling!! Reported at receptiona nd nothing was done, and apparently they have no portable fans on the premises, so we paid £200 for an hours sleep. There was no manager on site to complain to and no apology offered when I complained by email.

Liked: The property was situated in the heart of everything not far from the city centre was only a few minutes down the road , you had a shop next door including a bar/lounge incase you needed a bite to eat !
Disliked: The only downfall about the property was the car park , as it stated online it’s accessible therefore when we arrived we learnt that there wasn’t a car park and that we had to pay for the car park nearby, as we was staying 2 nights, we assumed it would be really expensive the but staff had given us discount for the car park which didn’t work out too much in the end

Liked: I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Great value for money and the breakfast was good too. Staff were super friendly and very helpful.
Disliked: Nothing really. There weren't many choices of places to eat immediately close by (although the bar/restaurant nextdoor is nice) and it's only a 10/15 min walk to the centre.
