Definitely one you should avoid...

Liked: We liked that they refunded one of the two rooms we abandoned upon checking in and seeing the conditions.
Disliked: The rooms were the smallest we've ever seen, out of hundreds of stays elsewhere. One room had stains on the bedspread and sheets. The manager, though, cooperated in refunding that room, though it took a few follow-up phone calls. We were not successful in getting a refund on the other room that had to be abandoned to keep our travel party together. Some of the exterior windows, perhaps to public spaces or maintenance areas, were broken; concerning as we carried our luggage in. Edgy. The hotel was a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh proper; but that was our fault for not noticing the distance prior to making reservations. IBIS is a name we generally trust. This was certainly not up to their standards.
