Great place to stay in...

Liked: Well run, clean hotel. Bedroom (triple) bright and airy. Great location. Staff team friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Good value for money.
Disliked: No big complaint. Could do with a sitting area.

Liked: Simple, but adequate. THe location is prefect for walking or tram access to the city.

Disappointing

Liked: If price is your ONLY requirement and you're staying for one night then this place is fine.I stayed here for 1 night as I was staying elsewhere for a week and decided to come early.The tram is close and the staff were very nice and accomodating but straight away I realised the pictures were of a different property.Having no expectations for this stay I was still surprised at the lack of investment and felt the need to share.If I wasn't alone I would have decided to stay somewhere else. The beds are very uncomfortable, they are a lumpy foam mattress - I didn't even realise foam could be lumpy.And the walls are paper thin, I could hear everything out in the hall as if they were in the room with me all night. If you are very price conscious and don't really have a choice this place is clean but very small and a bit depressing. It's like staying in an old campervan as the shower is next to the bed and not a separate room, which is fine in a budget hotel but the major issues are the bed, the noise and overall grubby old interior.Again if price is an issue it's fine, you'll make do. However I would look at other properties for a similar price or find €20 to stay in a nice hotel.
Disliked: My issue is the price does not reflect the lack of comfort and facilities.The price difference between here and other hotels is about €20 per night so unless you're extremely price conscious I would just stay somewhere else or book somewhere else for the same price as its too overpriced for what it is anyway.The lobby pictures are also not of this property they are of a regular Ibis reception that is down the road, they're not of this budget ibis, they give the appearance its new, clean, spacious, no frills hotel when in reality its shabby and old and a bit depressing. I would have overlooked the other areas if the bed was at least comfortable but I've honestly stayed in more comfortable hostels.

Return travellers

Liked: Location was good for easy access to the downtown of Bordeaux.
Disliked: We've stayed at this hotel 4 years ago, but the neighborhood has declined significantly since last time we were here. Noise from the street activity can be heard throughout the night.

Liked: Great service and helpful staff. The 3 person room is rather small but well set-up. Everything is pretty basic but functioning well and clean.
Disliked: The window was not closing properly, leaving some noise from the street.

Poorly managed.

Liked: We ended up leaving.
Disliked: The place is dirty. They put us in a room that was occupied. The smell of smoke in the hallway was horrible. Ibis refused to refund when we tried canceling. We did not trust leaving our stuff in the rooms after we were given someone else's room. We travel very frequently and this is the first time something like this has ever happened. If you have a rental car, it is not a safe place to leave it.
