My first stay at Ibis. The reason for my trip was a special night out - that was terrible. BUT the comfort and excellence of The Ibis more than made up for it. Thank you, I enjoyed my weekend. Also good value.

Liked: All aspects. Reception, clarity of info. Plenty of staff. Super room and facilities therein. And hot water.
Disliked: None.

The Ibis Temple Meads is a great budget hotel if you have tickets for a gig at The Marble Factory. It's within walking distance. The rooms are clean, the bed comfortable and staff are friendly and efficient.

Liked: Location for our venue; a clean room and comfortable bed and friendly and efficient staff.
Disliked: Not for the budget price.

Basic but clean. Not the...

Liked: Close to Bristol Temple Meads train station. The check in was quick, the room was clean and in a good state of repair. A fine, basic hotel for a short stay.
Disliked: The room was expensive for what you get. I had a 'superior double room' for one night and it felt pretty basic. This did not come with breakfast included. The only refreshments were the usual cheap plastic kettle, tea and uht milk packets. The hotel is under scaffolding currently. This is not advertised until you get there, although building works are restricted to office hours. The main downsides were comfort. The bed was extremely hard and there was loud noise of furniture scraping from nearby rooms and people in the corridor could be clearly heard until about 11pm. The blinds weren't very lightproof either so I was woken up at 5am with bright sunlight and the sound of seagulls shrieking outside. Very bare-bones, no bottle of water, box of tissues etc. even the bath mats have to be specially requested from reception. Efficient, though not particularly friendly receptionists. Only one working lift. About 15mins walk to the main restaurant area but some very large, busy roads to cross to get there.
