My first stay at Ibis. The reason for my trip was a special night out - that was terrible. BUT the comfort and excellence of The Ibis more than made up for it. Thank you, I enjoyed my weekend. Also good value.

The Ibis Temple Meads is a great budget hotel if you have tickets for a gig at The Marble Factory. It's within walking distance. The rooms are clean, the bed comfortable and staff are friendly and efficient.

Liked: fantastic location - near train station and river ferry - short scenic stroll to city centre
Disliked: bathroom was just weird - its a hub within the room which felt like stepping into a boat! Didnt like that at all.

Not worth it - Avoid...

Liked: The bed was relatively comfy. Its location near Temple Meads Station might have been handy had we been on the train.
Disliked: My entire experience is summed up in the two words "rip off". Paying a rate of £177 for 1 night, I did not expect to be levied extra charges at every turn: £10 to check in early (by a few hours, even though the room was ready) - £15 for a breakfast if booked on the day, £12 the night before (I thought in error that my booking had included this).Overall - a poor experience and terrible value for money. The hotel is currently covered in scaffolding because of the cladding works) and the windows of our room were filthy. The bathroom is no better than the experience of a festival porta-loo, and the door of this prefabricated hell hole of a bathroom didn't close properly (room 322 - in case you read this and want to repair it).You should be ashamed of charging this amount of money for such a poor experience.
