The Spotlight on ibis Belfast Queens Quarter

Comfort Meets Convenience in Belfast's Vibrant Queens Quarter

Modern, affordable, and well-situated, the ibis Belfast Queens Quarter is a smart pick for music lovers heading to gigs across the city. Nestled in the lively yet laid-back University Street area, this hotel offers easy access to Belfast’s buzzing music scene while giving guests a quiet place to unwind after the show. With welcoming staff, clean rooms, and solid amenities, it's a no-fuss, friendly base to rest your head.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans choose ibis Belfast Queens Quarter for its central location—just a short walk or quick cab ride from major venues. The area is known to be quieter at night compared to the city centre, making it perfect for those who want a peaceful sleep after the encore. With a flexible 12:00 check-out, you can sleep in after a late night out. Public transport and late-night taxis are easy to find nearby, and the 24-hour reception means no worries getting in late.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a clean, budget-friendly crash pad
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime tour
  • Couples making a weekend of their gig
  • Fans who want a quieter night’s rest away from the post-concert buzz
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want comfort and convenience

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant and bar offer simple but satisfying meals, and 24/7 room service means you can grab a bite even after a late show. While there’s no full-service restaurant open round the clock, there are lots of casual eateries and pubs within walking distance. Breakfast is available, perfect for those who need a bit more time to get going after a gig.

Nightlife Options

You're just minutes from the heart of Belfast’s nightlife scene, with local pubs, live music bars, and late-night lounges nearby. While the hotel itself doesn’t offer live entertainment, its proximity to both traditional Irish pubs and trendier venues makes it easy to keep the night going.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the friendly service, excellent location, and clean, comfortable rooms. Many note that it’s a great value for money and ideal for short city stays. Reviewers also appreciate the quiet surroundings despite being close to the action.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel is a bit basic in style—think functional over fancy. A few noted that parking can be tight, and the in-room facilities are simple (but clean and well-maintained).

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a central, affordable, and quiet place to stay in Belfast, ibis Belfast Queens Quarter hits all the right notes.

Gemma, Dublin, visiting Mandela Hall Belfast

Generally quite nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice.

Liked: Very close to the city and Mandela Hall, where I was attending a concert. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Uncomfortable pillows. A gap above the door made it noisy.

Good overall.

Liked: Location and staff.
Disliked: Breakfast was generous but several items on breakfast were not hot. My wife ordered the avocado and egg on toast but the bread was not toasted which was disappointing.

Good value in good location

Liked: Perfectly located for exploring Queens Quarter in Belfast, with lots of small supermarkets nearby, Deanes at Queens great value at lunch - and for sightseeing, the university campus, Botanic Park & the Ulster Museum shouldn’t be missed.Rooms compact and plain, as you would expect from this level of Ibis hotel, but perfectly adequate and bed v comfortable.Breakfast included 5 cooked-to-order options alongside continental, which was a nice surprise. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Having stayed there, we would definitely drop into the bar here as non-residents on an evening when we needed somewhere calm to sit for a while – pleasantly decorated with a nod to the Belfast context and unusually they have a Franciscan Well pale ale on tap.All in all this hotel punched above its weight.
