Hyatt Regency Rochester

Hotel room was great. Except coming back to hotel we were locked out and had to be buzzed in by hotel staff, which is stupid, and I was charged twice for my room, because staff can't or don't know how to do their job anymore.

Liked: Could be better.
Disliked: Mostly bad.

Liked: The infra of hotel
Disliked: Bed sheets and blanket was dirty. Didn't changed after request and we stayed 3 days.

Liked: The little cafe in the lobby was cooks and the vending machines in the lobby had a good selection.
Disliked: Everything is dated, the river view is just ok, the hot tub hasn’t worked since COVID, it’s downtown but don’t expect to walk to much.

Disliked: Been 3 weeks and they have not released a significant amount on my credit card. I’ve called multiple times only to be told some facilities and/or banks are different with their fund release policies but I’ve been staying at hotels for 20 years while using corporate credit cards and never had an issue like this.

Disliked: Everything is depressive, feels like Eastern Europe 50 years ago.

Liked: The hotel itself was ok, clean, nice staff, house keeping cleaned the room twice which was nice
Disliked: The rooms need to be renovated, I can see the wood coming up from the banister on the floor board, also the shower doesn’t close all the way and water sprays all over the floor. The room is very dark, the window is small and it does not open, it would have been nice to have some slippers as well. The house keeping doesn’t give new towels, my last day I didn’t have a big towel to dry off with.

Disliked: Chair in the room was ripped both arms. Linens were ripped and stained. Room wasn’t clean.

Liked: Decent location.
Disliked: One of the beds was clearly broken and there felt to be crumbs under the sheet as if maybe it wasn’t cleaned properly.
