The Spotlight on Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort

Peaceful Hill Country Getaway Just Outside Austin

Modern luxury meets rustic charm at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort, nestled in the scenic Texas countryside just 19 miles from downtown Austin. This expansive resort offers a relaxing escape with lush landscapes, top-notch amenities, and a full-service spa—perfect for unwinding before or after the big show. With outdoor adventures, a water park, and seven on-site dining options, it’s a unique blend of comfort and entertainment.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show in Austin but prefer a quieter, more serene place to retreat to, this resort is ideal. Located just a short drive from the city’s biggest music venues, you can enjoy the concert buzz then return to peaceful surroundings. The resort’s spacious grounds mean minimal noise even on busy nights, and with a 4 PM check-in and 11 AM check-out, there's flexibility for late arrivals and relaxed mornings. Free parking and easy access to rideshare services make getting to and from the venue smooth and stress-free.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a fun mini-vacation with golf, hikes, and concerts
- Solo travelers wanting a scenic base while seeing a bucket-list artist
- Couples making a romantic weekend out of a live show
- Fans wanting quiet post-concert downtime with spa access
- Budget-conscious music lovers looking to share a room and enjoy resort-style perks

Food and Drink Options

With seven on-site dining venues, there’s no shortage of tasty options. While there’s no 24/7 room service, several eateries stay open late, and options range from casual bites to upscale Texas cuisine. Breakfast is available on-site—perfect after a late night out. Plus, with Austin just a short ride away, the city’s eclectic dining scene is within easy reach.

Nightlife Options

While this resort is more about nature and relaxation than late-night clubbing, it does offer occasional live music events on the property. For those wanting to keep the party going, you’re not far from downtown Austin’s legendary bars and music lounges. Prefer to keep it low-key? The hotel’s cozy bar serves local craft beers and cocktails in a laid-back setting.

What People Say

Guests love the peaceful setting, the friendly staff, and the wide range of outdoor activities. Many reviewers highlight the spacious rooms, especially those with balconies or patios overlooking the forested grounds. It’s often described as a “hidden gem” for those wanting to be near Austin without dealing with downtown crowds.

Areas for Improvement

This isn’t the place for hardcore night owls—the resort vibe is more chill than party. Also, being outside the city means you’ll need a car or rideshare to get to most venues, and food prices on-site can be steep. But for many, the tradeoff is worth the tranquility.

The Bottom Line

The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort is a perfect pick for concert-goers who want to experience the energy of Austin’s music scene by night and relax in peaceful luxury by day.

Had a great time !

Liked: Property was beautiful, loved the lazy river . Staff at roadhouse Was so helpful, had a party of 14 and they went above and beyond to accommodate us! Also the guy at petting zoo helped us get the longhorn to come up closer to fence to get a picture with it ! Most appreciated!

Nice place for families with...

Liked: Meh. The Stories restaurant was nice.
Disliked: We've been here five or six times now. The rooms feel current, but the rest of the resort is dated, and the activities are not good for older kids or adults. Ninety percent of the bicycles were broken, the foosball was broken, the ping-pong balls were flat, and the bag toss bag needed to be replaced. There's very little to do. On Saturday, we were told to leave the pool due to lightning, and on Sunday, it was raining. There should be more adult activities, maybe ways to meet new people. For the cost of the rooms I'd prefer not be nickel and dimed on every damn thing, like $25 for self parking. I don't care how wealthy you are, no one likes to feel this way. By the way, there are broken electrical junction boxes with exposed wiring literally three feet from the lazy river. They don't seem concerned about safety.
