Liked: Check in and out was a breeze.
Disliked: Went to lounge for a drink after returning from a wedding. Hoping to get a snack/appetizer but we were told the kitchen was closed.

Disliked: Review for Hyatt Regency Chicago – Stay on July 18, 2025I would like to express my extreme disappointment with how my friends and I were treated during our stay at Hyatt Regency Chicago on Friday, July 18. Around 9:30 PM, a staff member came to our room to ask that we reduce the volume of our music. We complied immediately and respectfully. However, 15 minutes later, the same staff member,returned, this time aggressive, confrontational, and shouting at us.He told us the issue was not the music (which was already turned down), but that we were talking loudly. When we asked if we were expected to whisper in our room, he shouted, “Yes.” He got uncomfortably close and threatened that if he had to come back again, he would call the police on us. When we asked if he felt threatened by us, he said no. The escalation felt completely unnecessary and extremely inappropriate, especially considering we were three Black women alone in our room. His behavior felt intimidating and discriminatory.To make matters worse, around the same time, the guests in the room across from ours were loudly engaging in intimate activities, and their noise could be heard throughout the hallway. We reported this while he was yelling at us, but no action was taken. The inconsistent treatment reinforced our sense that we were being unfairly targeted.We reported the incident to the front desk and received only a verbal apology. No formal follow-up or resolution was offered.This experience made us feel disrespected, unsafe, and racially profiled. We expected a much higher standard of professionalism and accountability from a brand like Hyatt.While recognize the quiet hour policy enforced my the hotel, it is the expectation that the staff and the hotel create an environment that fosters diversity and inclusion. Clean rooms!
Liked: We'd been delayed 7 hours so didn't end up having much time in the hotel. It was clean and in a good location. Beds were comfortable.
Disliked: It was huge! 1,000 rooms I think! I don't think I'd book such a big hotel again.
