Terrible experience

Liked: The waterslide is fun. The lobby is nice and offers a lot of promise. The rooms are spacious
Disliked: Food is remarkable overpriced. Think $15 for a small child size pizza straight out of a frozen pizza box. The hotel has a policy where they will remove your personal items from sun loungers around the pool if they deem you gone too long. This really ruined our day since we found nice seats, and were simply enjoying our time in the pool but came back to find our stuff taken and no apology from staff when we complained. Stayed at hotels all over the world and never seen this. And this policy didn’t seem to be in effect on the day we arrived and couldn’t find a single seat at the pool. Pools are small and overcrowded and inexplicably filled with sand. Our air conditioning didn’t work in our room, but we appreciated maintenance and concierge efforts to fix it. Overall a bad experience. This “resort” has passed its heyday and is at best a glorified 2 star hotel.

Surprise weekend for my wife...

Liked: Location is beautiful and the food and service at dinner were excellent. That's it. See below for why that's it.
Disliked: Room was not what was expected - we were given a handicap room for no reason and it was a terrible location and view. The pool was crowded but what was really diappointing was on a Friday and Saturday we were told it was closing at 4:30 without reason. We expected to stay at the pool all day, and have dinner at the pool but that did not happen. Breakfast was free and was decent but not great, waitress was overworked and that worked against us. Many requests were missed. We made reservations with the front desk for dinner and when we arrived they had no record of our reservation. We had a table on the porch and the table umbrellas kept falling and scaring people. Food was well-prepared, great waiter (Milan) - I really feel that we are owed back for the resort fee since the pool was closed much of the time that we wanted it to be open and the room was dissapointing. We would have been better to stay at home.

Disliked: The F&B could be improved. The buffet offerings of the buffet restaurant could be improved.Lunch in the outside restaurant is served in a bag and on plastic…..

Great weekend at Hyatt Regency...

Liked: The property is gorgeous! There's so much to do and things to do for kids. Our accommodations were very nice and the hotel appeared very clean. The restaurant food was good.
Disliked: My experience with the maids was excellent! Very friendly and professional. However, my experience with restaurant staff, front desk staff and bar staff was interesting. Most didn't seem to know what they were doing, many were foreign especially the Asian young lady at the front desk whose English was not good at all. Fortunately our waiter at the Library restaurant was excellent. His name was Punjabi or something similar. He had a great smile, pleasant personality, and was just very friendly.

Liked: So much to do on-site for families with young kids
Disliked: Luckily we are hands on parents and keep a close on on our kids near water but the lifeguard situation at the activity pool is terrible. We witnessed multiple guards on their phones, FaceTime , and doing anything BUT keeping a close eye on the pool that is filled with blind spots and young children.
