Contemporary, convenient, and right in the heart of downtown, Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House offers concert-goers a stylish base just minutes from iconic venues and nightlife. Located less than 3 miles from Georgetown and Capitol Hill, this hotel blends sleek design with practical perks like free WiFi, spacious rooms with sofa beds, and a rooftop bar boasting sweeping views of the city skyline.
Whether you're catching a show at The Anthem, 9:30 Club, or Capital One Arena, Hyatt Place puts you within easy reach of the action. With multiple Metro lines just 984 feet away, getting to your concert—and back again—is a breeze, even late at night. The 24-hour front desk and Gallery Market mean you’re covered for late check-ins or post-show cravings. And with quiet, well-insulated rooms, you can unwind easily after the encore.
Concert nights often go late, and Hyatt Place makes sure you don’t go hungry. The 24-hour Gallery Market offers grab-and-go bites and made-to-order meals whenever you need them. There’s also a casual hotel bar for pre-show cocktails or a nightcap, and plenty of walkable eateries in the surrounding downtown area. Breakfast is available on-site, perfect for those slower mornings after a big night out.
Start your night at the hotel’s rooftop bar with views over DC—ideal for a celebratory toast. Then take your pick of nearby lounges, bars, and music venues in Dupont Circle, just over a mile away. Whether you’re seeking a late-night DJ set or a quiet cocktail, you’re in the right place.
Guests consistently praise the location—“walkable to everything”—and love the spacious rooms with comfy beds and big TVs. Reviews highlight the friendly staff and the bonus of the rooftop space for relaxing after a busy night. Many mention the easy Metro access as a major plus, especially for shows across the city.
While the rooftop bar is a favorite, it does close earlier than some guests expect—so plan your pre-game accordingly. A few reviewers note that the elevators can be slow during peak hours, but that’s a small trade-off for the central location.
For concert-goers who want downtown convenience, modern comfort, and late-night flexibility, Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House hits all the right notes.

Great place to stay for...
Liked: The convenience was excellent. The hot breakfast was great. It was a great value.
Disliked: Wish there was a swimming pool lol. The dining room could use some updating and it was a little bit humid there when our floor was nice and cool.

Great location, great value, very...
Liked: Breakfast was good. They had a nice variety of items. The location was pleasant and located in a great area. We used uber and lyft for travel because the city is hard to navigate if you are an outsider.
Disliked: The coffee selection in the afternoon could have been nicer. We had the option of decaf or tea. Both of which I do not personally like.

Very good
Liked: Alonso, the person in charge og vallet parkering etc, was extremely helpful and kind. Great personality.
Disliked: We asked for 3 hrs later check out. But the price was half a day rate. This is ripping of people. I would be willing to pay 50$
