Hyatt Place Washington DC/Us Capitol

Hotel was good as long as you stay inside and never come outside for anything. And don't order room service.

Liked: Room was clean; view at night through large window was pretty; employee's were pleasant.
Disliked: Inside hotel was OK, but outside was a different story. Bad area, rats running around outside of hotel. I was standing outside and one ran over my foot. Food was expensive and not very good.

Pleasant

Liked: The rooms are quite old, bedsheets and comforter aren't the best, looked old and had iron burn marks. We had a pillow that was leaking stuff and so we had feathers everywhere by the end of day 2. The included breakfast is nice, and the staff were nice.
Disliked: The valet parking charges are really high at $65 a night, almost makes you reconsider the hotel as its basically half the amount of the night charge of the hotel. (Close to $110-120/night). They have self parking, but thats only "Day parking", basically forcing you to use their valet parking services. Luckily, we found cheaper parking 10 minutes' walking distance from the hotel.

Liked: Breakfast was fine,over the weekend there were fried eggs which were good on Monday there were scrambled eggs and boiled eggs but not fried eggs. Yes,little thing . Potatoes were tasty,yogurt was awesome - mixed with berries - tasted like heaven . Staff was nice and helpful .
Disliked: Our room did not get cleaned every other day (we stayed 3 days) and we had to get to the reception to ask for clean towels.

I would say it’s not...

Liked: Nothing much to like but in the price range you get a swimming pool and breakfast that’s something I like. The breakfast was good.
Disliked: Nothing much rooms are ok, staff I only meet the front desk boy who is ok. But my room has a/c problem the engineer came and said he fixed it after that if it will not work then they can’t do anything. I can let the front desk know and they will send me a fan. That answer was so unprofessional coz they can change my room but anyways it was for one night the a/c was not that great but we deal with it.

Disliked: Parking is a headache even with a valet, very expensive.

Disliked: Rooms weren't cleaned at all during our stay. Parking is exorbitant. Not what i expected from a Hyatt

Liked: Proximity to station and Hop-On, Hop-Off bus.
Disliked: Rooms were clean but bathroom had loose fixtures, constant noise from outside window, no bedding or pillows for sofa bed.
