It was a perfect hotel...

Liked: It was a perfect base for touring the Smithsonian Museum.In particular, the Air and Space Museum was the closest, about a 5-minute walk away.There are few food shops around the hotel.A light snack is fine, but if you want a proper dinner, you'll need to head into town.The subway station is also about 5 minutes walk.This hotel is perfect for sightseeing.There was no microwave in the room we stayed in, but there was one in the restaurant on the 3rd floor.There was an additional charge of $55 per day for parking.We are Japanese and are not good at English, but the hotel was convenient for sightseeing.

Disliked: I didn’t like that parking was $52 a night.. I literally paid $156.00 to park for our trip.. almost a whole nights rate to stay 😩

I had a week to...

Liked: Loved having a buffet for breakfast. I ate too much and gained weight. Thought that since I walked 5 more or less miles that I would not gain weight. Loved being near the Mall as I could walk everywhere.
Disliked: Heat lamp needed for eggs in the morning for those people did not arrive when buffet open. Liked that excellent food was available in the evening when I didn't wish to leave the hotel after dark.

Superb

Liked: The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel to visit the Smithsonian and Capitol is excellent.
Disliked: Breakfast area was very crowded and the food quality rather poor. The room (upper floor) noisy due to the nearby highway. Housekeeping on request only, for which we were not aware. It is an important info which must be given at the booking and check-in.
