Hyatt Place UC Davis

Great place to stay.

Liked: Location was excellent. The staff was amazing. Room was nice.
Disliked: Bathroom had a slight mildewy smell. That was the only negative.

Liked: We were in town to attend an event at UC Davis. Great location! This hotel is adjacent to the college and we were able to walk to the event and explore the beautiful trails and downtown Davis. We were in an ADA room, which I don’t recall booking, although the front desk stated I did, so the shower situation was inconvenient, but room was clean. The complimentary breakfast they offer is convenient to be able to grab a quick bite.
Disliked: Hotel needs a larger pool. There was a soccer tournament going on that weekend, so kids took over pool but other than that stay was great.

Disliked: Physical plant was tired looking. I was there for 8 days and didn’t see housekeeping until day 5 even though I asked 2 times. It needs a face lift. New carpet etc.

Liked: Great place, comfy room and the park is so nice!Walking distance from all the faculty buildings at UC Davis and 20 minutes drive from Sacramento.

Liked: The Room was excellent, with a really nice floor plan. Great Continental Breakfast to start the dayThis was probably the best Hyatt I've ever stayed in, and plan to stay many more times in my Son's 4 years of College at UC Davis.
Disliked: At first, we didn't find staff to be friendly, but warmed-up to them eventually. They didn't ask or remind me about my "Hyatt Points", or offer to look me up. I didn't have my number with me.

Liked: Location is convenient for the purpose. Room size is good. AC is nice and cold.
Disliked: Bed was not comfortable at all, no support. Pillow is old and flat. Breakfast did not refill, all were gone by 8:30am. No bacon, donut, limited choice!

Disliked: I did not get the room that had been confining my booking. The plumbing smelled. The room was on the first floor; I had a confirmation for a room with two beds on an upper floor. I was told that I should have made my reservation directly with the hotel and not through a third party booking.
