There are some challenges, but...

Liked: The bed was comfortable, and the room would have been great if we had booked a king. The ample space and layout would have served that arrangement and would have suited us perfectly. The room was clean and attractive overall. There was a very nice sitting area for watching TV and the room had lots of storage, a nice cold refrigerator, and plenty of places for luggage. I believe there was also a desk, but we didn't have need of it. Still, it seemed an adequate place to work. the motel is close to places to eat (We ate at Culvers), but there is also a downstairs bar area that will fix food on demand.The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The motel is well away from traffic, so no road noise, and the thin walls we encounter in so many motels did not seem to be an issue with this Hyatt.
Disliked: We had two queens, and one was almost right up against the air conditioner. Just too close to the output for my wife. One side of the other queen was practically against a wall, with no room to walk. This made getting up in the night to use the facilities a bit of a challenge for me. The air conditioner, while not the noisiest, was loud, but I had earplugs with me to compensate. Also, one of the elevators wasn't working, and I was told by another guest that it won't be fixed for two years. No place in the bathroom for a night light. There's room for improvement, but none of these things are what I consider to be deal breakers and I would stay again at the right price.

Disliked: arranged for a late check in but when I got to the hotel it was a ghost town...not an employee in sight. I waited over :30 minutes at 3:30AM - that is in the middle of the night--- for my prepaid room. But I was never checked in as there was not any employees working. I am still owed a refund....I called the property multiple times as well in case someone was in the back but no one emerged to help me. I had to go to 4 other hotels trying to find a room and did not get to bed until almost 4:30AM. Unacceptable!

Nice stay after long travels.

Liked: After long day it was nice to arrive, check in and relax a bit. Facilities were great and was nice restaurant on property. Staff accommodating. Housekeeping outstanding.

weird and disturbing

Disliked: frozen food available in the pantry that's overpriced but then you get to your room and there is no microwave.. The bottled water was over 5 bucs. The hotel staff member that checked me out was dressed very professionally, nice shirt and tie clean cut and groomed and then I looked at him and hes wearing two dangly rainbow heart earrings. Just stupidand ridiculous. Does management allow this? WHatst he purpose ? Its just nonsense.
