Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Downtown The Gateway

Liked: Clean; accommodating; friendly staff; great breakfast; easy access to Delta Center and The Gateway.
Disliked: Bed and pillows were very hard. Sheets were so rough they were almost impossible to sleep on.

The staff was nice; our room was clean and just what we wanted. It was right next to our concert venue which made it nice. We will definitely be staying there again.

Liked: Clean and 50 foot from our concert venue.
Disliked: $10 parking.

Friendly, clean hotel. Ordered food and it was surprisingly good. The hamburger was thick and not greasy at all and the spinach artichoke flatbread with chicken was delicious. Breakfast was very nice too. The only thing that could have made this a better stay would be a fireplace in the room.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful. Nice clean rooms.
Disliked: No fireplace and no good creamer for coffee.

We had a great stay...

Liked: The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of four with two children. It was quiet. Well air conditioned. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast provisions were good too. The property was well located.
Disliked: I thought the staff could have been a little friendlier.

Liked: Great location! Easy walk to temple square and easy drive to great restaurants.Room was a great size with 2 very comfortable queens and a great sofa bed!Breakfast was very nice, well stocked and was slightly different each morningGym was great and the pool and hot tub looked lovely- ran out of time to use them! Staff were very friendly
Disliked: No complementary coffee/tea in the lobby. Staff hadn’t been trained to use the espresso machine so couldn’t order at the bar either.

Super quiet, very clean, location,...

Liked: This place is so QUIET. There was a screeching baby somewhere but it was tough to hear (only when I was in the room in complete silence). These rooms are super quiet.
Disliked: A very minor and picky thing –– there was something sharp under the fridge cabinet, so when my partner went to open the fridge door, he scraped his finger.

Liked: The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was pretty modern and very clean. The breakfast was good.
Disliked: Our bathroom was dark and was a bit outdated. I don't love that I had to pay extra for parking, considering the nightly rate for this place.
