Hyatt Place Portland-Old Port

Liked: Well now, it was close to the Merrill Auditorium.
Disliked: We were next to a room that had a big dog barking, howling and scratching on the door at 3 am. Then two men yelling and knocking on our door - WOW! I can't believe we weren't reimbursed for the stay at Hyatt Place.

Disliked: One night was too warm, AC wasn’t pushing out cold air but it was fine the next night

Liked: Loved the location! And the room was great and so were the staff! However, the valet parking was not convenient, especially at check out when everyone was checking out, over 30 minutes' wait. Tried texting but didn't work and had to get the front desk to get ahold of them. They also ran out of breakfast buffet, so we were unable to get any on Sunday. Possibly short staffed. Suggestion: Microwaves would be great in rooms. We do plan on staying again.

Spacious & Comfortable

Liked: The hotel is currently being remodeled & we were fortunate to stay in a remodeled room. It was clean, large & comfortable. Nice separate sitting area with L shaped couch & privacy screen to separate the bed area. Perfect walking distance to everything in Old Port to enjoy shopping, restaurants & the Civic Center.
