Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Zachary, Greensburg Sat, 31 March 2018

The hotel overall is great but the night-time staff was very rude and they shut off the water and did not mention it to us before we booked a room that there wouldn't be any water.

Liked: Hotel itself was nice. Would've been nice before paying $300 for a hotel room to know that our water was going to be off the majority of the night before we even booked.
Disliked: The daytime staff is awesome; went to go get my keys from the valet later at night and the staff refused to give me my car keys saying that the valet had called off work and that there was nothing I could do to get my car keys, so after waiting 30 minutes and then lying to me about him not being there he finally showed up and unlocked the box to give me my keys. Also, like I mentioned in my last comment we had no water the whole evening and after going to a concert it would have been nice to know that we weren't going to have any water.

My fiance and I had a one night stay at the Hyatt and enjoyed the entirety of our stay. The room was beautiful, as was the view. It had a feel like no one had ever even stayed in the room. The only thing I could possibly even mention in a negative way was the breakfast wasn't quite as good as I had anticipated from reviews, but it was miles ahead of others.

Liked: One of the cleanest hotels I've ever set foot in.
Disliked: Not enough vegetarian options for breakfast. Where were the potatoes?

Liked: Location was a great. Breakfast was nice..
Disliked: The bathroom door is a sliding door (barn door style) and you can?t hold it to lock. The fan didn?t work in bathroom. The lighting was very low in living room area so made it hard to get ready.

Liked: Staff were very willing to help.
Disliked: Errors in charge to credit card. All sorted out in the end but at the time rather stressful. Staff very obliging and gave more than enough compensation for difficulties.

Good location; Modern; Comfortable

Liked: The hotel is in an excellent location, which is the major benefit. Easy walk to Broadway (3 blocks), Country Music Hall of Fame, etc. Many restaurants are also around. Hotel looks recently built. So everything is well kept and has many plug outlets. Bed was comfortable, as well as the room. We had a king room which had a separate sitting area with a pull out couch. Room was very large. Plenty of room for the luggage, throw stuff on the couch and still have room to sit. Etc. Bathroom was also a good size, with plenty of counter space. Wifi was frustratingly slow (by todays standards). But the wifi always worked. Buffet was surprisingly well done. They had a large room so there was never an issue trying to get your food, and the staff was constantly restocking. They always had scrambled eggs, some kind of potatoes, bacon or pork shoulder, some other kinds of hot dishes, oatmeal and a selection of fruits, rolls juices etc. Thought the selection of backed goods could have been better. No English muffins, don?t recall seeing bagels or other muffins or sweet rolls. Also, as we were there for 4 days, there was not that much variety in the dishes. Did not have a waffle or pancake machine. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here when in Nashville.
Disliked: Buffet could have more variety each day, and a few dishes that most other buffets have . While not the fault of the hotel, there is a lot of construction going on in Nashville, and there were two projects near the hotel when we were there (April 2019). Noise from one construction site did keep me up or wake me up (midnight they were moving dumpsters around and the construction started up at 7am), and we were on the top floor of the hotel. This I NOT the fault of the hotel, and they do offer earplugs, but something to think about , at least for now.

A good spot for a...

Liked: Excellent variety of hot breakfast choices. Our meeting included hot lunches and these were also fine. Spacious room with plenty of electrical outlets, excellent wifi connections, enough coat-hangers, plenty of towels and toiletries. Friendly and helpful staff. in the dining area and front desk. Even live music in the evenings at the bar.
Disliked: The tub drain was slow and the shower put out plenty of water--standing in inches of water to shower. No magnifying mirror, not a big problem. My room had a view of the blank wall of the next building. Depressing beige-brown decor. These are not major flaws and I would stay in this hotel again if I needed to be in downtown Nashville.

Great experience

Liked: Room service was great and staff was great
Disliked: The elevator was a little difficult. Ourselfs and others met in elevator was a little confused at first. Not taking anything from the hyatt cause our experience was great. Easy fix with an instruction sign.
