Hyatt Place Milwaukee Downtown

Hotel was great staff was great! Hotel hallway smells. Parking was horrible - had to find parking on the street very difficult. Otherwise great stay!

Liked: Very centrally located with easy parking. I saw a lot of people complaining about the $40 valet parking in reviews… there is free street parking right outside! All you have to do is register for overnight parking with the City of Milwaukee online. The hotel was VERY clean and the rooms were super comfortable. The breakfast was definitely above average and staff were great overall. I also really appreciated the blinds in the room which did an above average job of blocking out light.
Disliked: Another note on parking: I parked three nights on the street for free. On the fourth, someone did try to steal my rental car 😬 this is obviously not the hotel’s fault but a Milwaukee issue in general. The cops said this happens a fair amount when schools go on break (this was Good Friday). Luckily for me it was a rental from work but the only reason to pay that $40 valet parking fee would be to eliminate your risk of this happening. My only other downside was that the side of the hotel facing Winnebago Street can be a little noisy with traffic. It wasn’t terrible but I am sensitive so next time I will ask for a room on the other side.

Disliked: Lists parking available, did not mention it was vallet for 43$ a day. Had to find street parking or was given the option to park in a parking garage a couple blocks away. Room was not super clean..
