Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport

Booked a king size bed but got a queen size. Nobody mentioned this at check-in. When I inquired why this happened I was just told I get whatever is clean first! I asked if the price should get adjusted and then was told kings are the same price as queens - doesn't make sense! Nobody was friendly and the Starbucks in the lobby had a hard time just making a cafe mocha!

Liked: Clean.
Disliked: Did NOT get the King sized bed I booked.

Disliked: Bathroom fan shrieked every time I turned on the light. So loud I skipped the shower. Parking terrible

Not all Hyatt Places are...

Liked: Parking and room accessible. Room spacious, clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The 'included' breakfast was a mess. Beyond crowded (they can't help that) and they do have relative seating - the silverware was out of stock, coffee urns empty, area not cleaned well (or often), bacon barely cooked, pancakes gummy. Had to go to front desk to ask for things that kitchen staff should have been ready for. Not what we have experienced at other Hyatt properties. We didn't bother with breakfast. Also, I would expect some staffers (esp. front desk) to be aware of major events in the area; have something posted about Summerfest, the day's weather forecast, etc. No one seemed to know anything. The person that was the most pleasant and approachable was when we checked out.

Liked: Breakfast was good. The pool was nice. They were able to let us check in early.
Disliked: The air conditioning in our room wasn't working well, and it was very stuffy. Also, the pool didn't open until 9 am, which is a long time to wait for a 2-year-old who gets up at 7 am.

Property needs a major update.

Disliked: This property is in dire need of a renovation. The staff was great but the condition of the property was unexpectedly dated based on the ratings that it has received. Hyatt can do better starting here.
