Hyatt Place Houston Sugar Land

The Hyatt Place is not near anything. Will do as we always do in the future. Book at the Marriott early. Near restaurants and nice.

Liked: The room.
Disliked: The people working there. Mr. J at the front desk just left without confirming when our room was ready. The other front desk guy had a conscience. Lady at the same desk in the morning was rude.

Not sure I'll be back.

Liked: Nice shower. Comfortable bed. Clean.
Disliked: Completely unimpressed with staff at check-in and check-out. Unfriendly; no personality. Neither seemed like they cared about their job or if I was happy. Also the couch in my room was worn out.

Convenient location set off the main street which made the stay much more pleasant.

Liked: Spacious rooms.
Disliked: Nothing.

Highly recommend staff was awesome...

Liked: Only thing I paid extra for was the drinks at the bar which were very good staff was awesome I had my little one with me and they could see that mommy was safe at the hotel and saw I could use a stiff drink lol so they were awesome and offered my little one a apple juice and a snack on the house they put on cartoons for her everybody was awesome would highly recommend

Liked: Hotel was great, wonderful breakfast. Maid service was horrible. Every day they left dirty glasses, one day they didnt clean anything even though we asked for a deep clean. Didnt leave towels, etc. Stayed 4 days and maid service was bad every day. Front desk personnel were great

Liked: I liked the location of the hotel, the neighborhood was really nice and well kept. I felt safe leaving my car in the parking lot , it had a well lit parking lot. The room and hotel were very nice and clean. My room was also clean and well kept.
Disliked: I did not like the breakfast. It had limited options and no pancakes or waffles for the kids. Also, the room they gave us was supposed to have a view of the lake. It did not. We could see the roof of another building, and the trees were covering the view of the lake. We were on the 4th floor. Although we turned the ac down to 68, the room felt hot. The placement of the vents felt like the air wasn't reaching where we were sleeping. Lastly there is something wrong with the plumbing, the bathroom sink kept making a gurgling noise. Not a problem during day, but it was annoying throughout the night.

Would stay here again; kiddos...

Liked: Close to the lake and very clean. We felt safe
Disliked: Tub seemed to leak and didn’t have a microwave in the room

Disliked: The only negative I could say is the windows need to be cleaned.

Good vibes, bad view.

Disliked: I payed extra for a lake view but I didn’t get no lake view, only trees and can barely see any water. The breakfast needs more options to choose from, and another waffle maker would be nice to speed up the wait line.

Uncooperative staff and unwelcoming service

Liked: Property was good but not as per Hyatt standard
Disliked: Poor hospitality from start to finish. Check-in was denied because I didn’t have my physical credit card, and they refused both cash and my digital card.I had to wait for the check in after driving 5 hours with my kids until I could arrange a physical card.Breakfast was chaotic — one waffle station for a crowded weekend. By the time I reached the counter at 10:00 AM, a staff member unplugged the machine right in front of me and refused to provide more batter, even after I complained. I left without eating, as did the guest behind me with a child.Uncooperative staff and unwelcoming service made this a disappointing stay.

Superb

Liked: The staff was great, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Lake view was beautiful.
Disliked: Faucet was making a weird noise.
