Liked: The location was excellent. We were seeing a show at van andel arena and it was just a few minutes walk. The breakfast was good. Beds were comfy.
Disliked: The shower was weird. Low pressure.

Liked: The breakfast was really good, as compared with most continental hotel breakfasts, the room and hotel were clean, and the staff very friendly.
Disliked: I still don't have a final bill. I guess I should call the hotel and get one, but it seems unusual not to receive an email or paper copy. Also, I am so tired of hotels being stingy on towels in the room. The idea that you are saving the planet by trying to force people to reuse towels or cut down on showers is absolutely absurd and amounts to mere virtue-signaling. Just keep the rooms stocked with towels, it's not that hard.

Just alright, but friendly staff

Liked: Location is great, very central to everything within downtown Grand Rapids but also great center location for us to be in a city close to Holland and Grand Haven where we also traveled during our stay, and I'm sure many other local west Michigan cities.
Disliked: For nearly $250+/night, you expect more. No room service and quality of the room just isn't there for what you pay for.Little quip, which I see at my time of posting this they have now fixed, we booked the disability access room with 2 queens. Originally there was a photo with a roll in shower and shower bench. I called the day before to confirm my room would have this and was told yes, Upon my arrival, the room did not have this and we were moved to a different room which I was told was an "upgrade" and it really wasn't. To go from two queen beds to ONE king bed and a full size sofa bed (hardly comfortable and traveling with 4 people, and one in a wheelchair) is not an upgrade, I'm sorry.They did comp my parking, and I thank them for that though.Also, they should include instructions about how to handle parking when you arrive and that the reception is on the 2nd floor - none of this was disclosed initially. Otherwise, an alright hotel.

Liked: Breakfast was wonderful and the staff that waited on us at the reception, the bar/restaurant were the friendliest, most knowledgeable that I've encountered.
