Disappointing A/C issues

Liked: Staff attempted to be professional and tried to assist when the A/C in our room was not working. We discovered the room temperature immediately after checking in. Unfortunately, apparently, there were no rooms left for us to change into and we either had to stay in an 85 degree plus room or find a new hotel on the spot. Staff tried to contact a sister property, but never got through or didn't get a response. We ended up booking at the sister property ourselves directly, who were readily available online. Although I was only in the room for about 30 minutes, it seemed clean and bright upon checking in.
Disliked: I'm confused as to why front desk staff did not react sooner to my family's situation. I was asked to wait in the hot room with no A/C for about 30 minutes for the Maintenance person to arrive, only to tell me to go downstairs and ask for a room change. When I called the front desk, I was told that this was a problem affecting much of the hotel already, that there were no more available rooms and that I had to rebook my stay. This was disappointing. I was offered a beverage as I rebooked my accommodations. I was not offered any transportation to the next hotel and was told I could uber, after just ubering to this hotel from the airport. All told, I was in the hotel for less than 2 hours, but it seems that they were aware of their A/C issues before I even arrived. I understand that it was likely an unusual circumstance, but it was disappointing nonetheless.

I would definitely stay again...

Liked: Excellent value for money!!! Spacious room, comfortable beds and pillows. Great facilities, mini fridge, clothes steamer, hair dryer and an ice machine on my floor. Breakfast was great, almost the same everyday but always topped up and never too busy. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful and told us good places to visit. There was a great free shuttle called freebie which was extremely convenient especially to get to the beach.
Disliked: The swimming pool was quiet, no music and no bar. Alway plenty of towels and enough sun beds.
