It would have been great...

Liked: The continental breakfast was wonderful! The hotel was clean. No
Disliked: BUYER BEWARE of the Hyatt Hotel chain!!We were told that the entire Hyatt hotel chain has renovated & moved to a policy that the A/C units, in Your room, are motion controlled. So, if you stay in your room during your entire stay & you continue to move around your room then you’re okay. However, summer is only beginning in Texas & our room was 85° when we arrived & after an hour, of being in the room it only cooled to 83°. We decided to leave, not knowing this updated hotel policy, to allow the room time to cool down. After a few hours we returned & the room was back at 85°. My husband went to the front desk thinking that the A/C was broken. The person at the front desk informed him of Hyatt’s updated air conditioning policy. My husband informed me & I went to the front desk. I told them that we needed a refund because I am in an ARM CAST & cannot stay in a room all day & attempt to sleep at in 83°…85°! The person at the front desk told me there was ‘Nothing They Could Do’.I told the front desk to escalate this issue & call Management because this is a MEDICAL ISSUE. I cannot sweat in this arm hard cast. Front desk immediately called Management because they knew that I was not leaving until we reached a resolution. (The very front of hotel, where you checkin was cool). Management told Front Desk to call Maintenance and have them turn off the Motion Sensor on the thermostat of the A/C. After turned off it cooled within a little over an hour (which we again had to leave the hotel for so that I would sweat in my arm cast). We were told that they only did this because it was MEDICAL Issue.BUYER BEWARE!!! This is a sad situation because we will absolutely NEVER stay at a Hyatt hotel again! Again, employee said this is not just for this location but the ENTIRE chain. This may work up north but not in Texas. (Also, the hallways are even hotter than the rooms which also effects the temperature in the elevator).
