David, Camp Hill, visiting Bowen's Island Restaurant

Do not stay in room 631 on the 6th floor - the fumes out of the shower smell like sulfur.

Disliked: Room 631 - smelled badly of sulfur coming from the bathroom.

Lucas, Charleston

Be sure to request a room on the side where there is no construction. Other than that it was a great location and a very nice place. Once construction around there is done I would love to come back.

Liked: Staff was friendly and place was clean.
Disliked: Was awakened at 7:30am by heavy construction - literally pounding steel.

Disliked: Our room on the 7th floor had no view other than the sky. No one should be given that room without a warning.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped with coffee and water. Breakfast was good. The Hotel is on the King Street, which makes it easier to walk downtown and reach the promenade and walk by the water. Definitely worth a stay. Parking was very expensive but I guess it is a normal fee for the USA.

We had a good stay...

Liked: The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very walkable to food and after hours activities. Our room was good, although the view was horrible rooftops and industrial buildings!
Disliked: The breakfast was adequate. but with very little variety. Luckily I am not a big breakfast eater. It was adequate for the children in our group but was lacking for the adults. The parking for the hotel is ridiculous. The deck is a huge rip off and basically forced us to use the valet service. The valet attendants did a wonderful job and got the cars to us as quickly as possible. The access in front of the hotel was tight. It was quite disturbing to have two fire alarms on two different days of a three day stay. The pool was freezing. There really should be a heated pool option.
