Liked: The breakfast was okay. The bar was okay too - I think a popcorn machine for the guest while enjoying a beverage would be nice. Spouse wanted bloody Mary, but they didn't have that as an item to make. There is a refrigerator, so not sure they could keep what is needed to make them. Anyway, overall stay was good.
Disliked: Did not care much for the breakfast. Eggs tasted like powdered eggs and very runny.

Liked: We chose this hotel because it is pet friendly. We drove 4 hours to Austin to meet the dog we were adopting. We were told that we could meet the dog in the lobby and even take her up to our room to spend some time with her with no additional charge. However, in the evening, we decided to proceed with the adoption and took possession of our dog. We were then told that there would be a $75 charge if the dog stayed overnight. It would have been nice to know that up front as we would have waited and taken possession of her the following morning after we checked out. The room was clean and quiet.
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable with a very thin and soft mattress. We could feel the bed frame pressing on our backs and hips. The hotel fire alarm went off at 5 a.m. which would have been okay if there had been a fire. It was a false alarm and the hotel staff told us that it had happened several nights in a row. Not great to be roused from sleep and having to walk down several flights of stairs to go outside in our pajamas when there was no need for it. Get the alarm fixed please. Then there was the breakfast buffet. Very substandard.........the scrambled eggs were very overcooked, and the pancakes were ice cold. Not appetizing at all. We have had much better at less expensive hotels. But, again, this trip was about getting our new dog and we appreciate a hotel that allowed pets. We just cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable bed or a good breakfast.

Liked: Surprised breakfast was so good and staff so responsive. However, it is not being very well taken care of. I remember when it was built, so I know it is not very old, but it is getting shabby already false alarm at 5 AM didn’t make us very happy either.
