Liked: I loved how spacious the suite was. I loved the free parking.I enjoyed getting two free waters a day from front desk.Loved how quiet it was at night. Feels very safe.
Disliked: The shower hot water took a very long time to get hot. It takes almost 5 minutes to get hot!The pillows were too soft, not firm enough. The carpet looked dirty with some dark stains.

Dangerous odor, medical symptoms, ruined...

Disliked: I booked this stay for my wife, who stayed at Hyatt House Scottsdale Old Town in May 2025. She had to urgently leave the hotel after waking up with severe lung burning, chest tightness, dangerously high blood pressure, and full-body shaking. The room had sealed windows, no ventilation, and a strong musty chemical odor that made her physically ill within hours.Several days later, she went to urgent care because the lung burning persisted. One provider documented respiratory complaints, and another noted an allergic reaction after she tried cleaning her belongings that had been exposed in the hotel.The odor embedded into her property — including her laptop, which developed a sticky residue and now emits a chemical smell that still triggers symptoms. She had to discard multiple items: bags, shoes, and clothing. A friend who helped her relocate immediately noticed the strong, unnatural odor on all her things after only 48 hours in the hotel.Based on her experience, we suspect hidden mold or the use of industrial chemicals that weren’t properly ventilated. This room should be evaluated by environmental health authorities.Hyatt refunded the stay but has not responded to the formal complaint regarding property damage, which totals nearly $8,000 in documented losses. She has submitted a compensation request and is actively pursuing resolution.This stay caused serious distress and financial damage.We strongly advise others to avoid Hyatt House Scottsdale Old Town.
