Hyatt House New York/Chelsea

Would happily stay again, great...

Liked: The Suite was a great size for NYC and well equipped. Views from our 29th floor corner suite were AMAZING! Breakfast was meh but was included in room cost. Location spot on for tourists who want to be away from the craziness of Time Square but central enough to make their way easily around Manhattan and out to the other boroughs.
Disliked: The aircon in our room was very noisy to the point we couldn't have it on overnight. The sofabed our teen slept on was very creaky and the mattress was thin. We moved the sofa in the livingroom, as it was facing into the room looking at the kitchen, we felt it was better placed against the high legged table so we could sit and look out over the Manhattan skyline!! The room was dated in style and a little shabby at points, but the cleanliness was 100% so we were very happy with it overall.

Liked: Comfy and staff were super helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast. but I knew based on other reviews what to expect. If you are staying here for the breakfast, you are doing yourself a disservice when there is such good food in the city. The bagel place right below the hotel is exceptional. This breakfast is not good but if you want something to tie you over till a later meal, then by all means visit it, but be prepared for an unsatisfying experience.
