Just okay
Liked: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The front desk staff were wonderful. The bartender was amazing and so friendly. He was fast and interacted with all the guests. We talked with the Chief Engineer too and he was so nice and friendly. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. The location was central enough that we could walk most everywhere.
Disliked: First, I'll start with parking. The getting in and out with the keys was hit or miss and having to ask to be let in was a bit of an annoyance. Parking was overpriced. If it was a busy parking lot the price would be justified. I could see it during busy season but should be lower in off seasons. Next, the elevators were incredibly slow and the key readers were so spotty. The ice machine on our floor was broken all 6 days that we were there. The doors slam! At all hours, they have no soft shut mechanism, so they are so loud. The guests doors kept us awake because they just non stop slam. The AC seems to run on its own will. If we left the room, it'd turn off and get hot. At night, the AC wouldn't keep the tempature and the room would be uncomfortable. The bed was lumpy and incredibly uncomfortable. They don't start you with enough towels, so you'll need to ask for more. The fire alarm flashes brightly. The fridge smelled terrible, and only kept things slightly above room temperature even at the highest setting. The desk wasn't clean. The shower doesn't have water protective stripping so the shower soaks the floor. The hotel wasn't bad, just very mediocre and overpriced. Breakfast was not worth choosing this hotel for complimentary breakfast. We just chose to eat elsewhere. We probably would not choose this hotel again, especially for a long trip like this one.

Liked: I liked the location
Disliked: * I didn't like not having a remote for the tv. * I didn't like having a water soaked floor upon my arrival. I didn't like my bags getting wet either. * I didn't like paying fifty dollars for parking when the lady told me she was giving me a discount for medical stay. Paperwork said normal parking was Thirty eight dollars not fifty plus. I live eighty miles away from Nashville and I had to be at the hospital at 5am so my wife and daughter/ family didn't even get to eat the free breakfast so there should have been a lesser room rate for medical stay too. I will not be recommending Hyatt to anyone else that is for sure.

Liked: The hotel is in a great location for the university and park and an easy walk to midtown and music row. Downtown only a half hour walk away. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.A great place to stay for our short trip to Nashville!
