Good hotel in Fisherman's Wharf

Liked: Great location and staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were fairly spacious. We liked the room with a city view.
Disliked: We had 2 rooms in our party and we were not put very close together which was a bit annoying. The food was a bit expensive.

Low value for the price...

Liked: Attractive with a nice restaurant and daily buffet. Food was excellent and dining service was also excellent.
Disliked: On-line it said the king room accommodated 3, but when I asked at the front desk, the woman said no. After some time and discussing with someone else, she changed our room and we were able to order a roll away. The woman was very unfriendly. She also neglected to provide our buffet vouchers and gave them to me reluctantly the next day. She was smiling when I approached the desk and then her expression changed when she recognized me from the night before. Honestly, I was very nice and patient about the whole situation. She should have been even slightly apologetic. Instead, I just got dirty looks. I called down for a late checkout. I was told no! Most hotels will let you stay an extra hour, but not this one! We were told we could Stowe our bags in the lobby. While we were at breakfast, someone had moved them without permission. No bell service at this hotel, but since he moved our bags, we felt compelled to tip. I wanted to extend my stay. They made me go on-line and book a new reservation. This was horrible. I hate those booking sites. I couldn’t even book direct and ended up paying a ton of unnecessary fees and forgot to book the one with the buffet, so we paid triple for the food the next day. The policies at this hotel make great customer service impossible. The rate - excessive and parking was $55/day. First time at a Hyatt and probably my last.

nice location but hotel quality...

Liked: Location was nice. Close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, and plenty of restaurants. Room was clean, and the process of check in and check out was speedy.
Disliked: First come first serve valet when we checked in 40 mins after the check in time was absurd. We went to the public parking lot recommended by the hotel but it was packed so had to find another parking lot on our own. The hotel walls are paper thin. Woke up to another person in the room having a zoom meeting.
