Lovely stay for a quite...

Liked: The room was lovely - bath looking out to lovely countryside. It does feel a bit exposed as there isn’t a lot of cover/ curtains, but the view makes it worth it. Property is very clean. On site parking available. Make sure you have a car as it is difficult to get to property otherwise.Breakfast was nice - only thing given it’s a small b&b you need to decide the night before what time you’re going to have breakfast and what you’re going to eat. Owner is very nice and friendly.
Disliked: You are asked to take off your shoes when you arrive at property, which is good in a way to keep the fitted carpets clean, but it would be good to know about this beforehand to get bed slippers.

Liked: Beautifully clean. Building stunning. View from bath stunning. Lovely views, peaceful.
Disliked: Couldn’t get the water hot enough for the beautiful bath. Spoilt the trip for us because we had booked the room for the bath and were looking forward to luxury relaxation and a much needed break. Bath was warmish when using only the hot tap and no cold but still not warm enough to luxuriate. Told owners who put an emersion on. However we ended up adding kettle hot water. Owners said they were bemused but didn’t seem to care albeit they are very personable and polite. Issue with bath temperature was both day of arrival and the morning after and we felt let down as we had pushed the boat out to afford this stay. We go away about 6 times a year and always book a bath (albeit not as grand as this one) and don’t feel we expected anything extra hot or unusual. Breakfast was lovely but small compared to other b&bs. One slice of toast and some scrambled egg and a croissant for hubby; croissant and a pain o chocolate for me. We were filled up and it was lovely but not the range/offer we’ve had at other b&bs.
